Affiliate Traffic Sites: Blogs, Tubes, TGPs and others

Being an adult webmaster seems to be the easiest way to get money out of porn. You don’t have to do any dirty work, you just need to know how to sell porn. Things aren’t that easy these days. The industry is always changing and you should make sure you keep abreast of any new trends in the market.
We observe an entire cycle of evolution in the online adult business, especially over the last few years. The industry came to know a new type of site, the illegal tube site, which became a game breaker and greatly influences this business.
The first affiliate porn sites started to appear in the middle of 1990s, the ones with 1:8 ratio were offering a few photos scanned from porn magazines, in low resolution, but you still have to wait to have them displayed on 36,6 kb dial-up speed. Now we have paysites with lots of porn in free preview and tubes with hundreds of terabytes of free porn videos. The main principle is still the same – to be an adult webmaster you have to have adult traffic. The more you have it – the more you make in porn by monetizing it through sponsors. That’s the main affiliate work to build sites which will be visited by people looking for porn (traffic). Get the traffic and you’re on board. You can obtain it by getting good performance in Google and other search engines for adult keywords, trade traffic and links with other adult sites, etc. It’s your job to find the ways to obtain traffic.
Those are major traffic site types run by adult webmasters these days.
Blogs – very popular traffic sites among webmasters. It allows you to start in adult from almost nothing. You just have to buy a domaincheap virtual hosting and install free WordPress script. Google loves blogs and it’s easy to get low frequency keywords traffic into it. You create unique blog posts with paysite links, trade links with other webmasters, submit your blogs to blog directories, etc. Many webmasters have complete niched blog networks.
Also there are so called splogs – blogs based on sponsors RSS feeds. Webmasters import them, put the texts through synonymizers and display it on the blogs. However, with brand new Google algorithm launched recently called ‘Panda’ splogs and splog networks are significantly decreasing in traffic.
Those are some blog samples: altporn.net, futanariobsession.com, freesexandpornlinks.com, futa-girl.com
Tube sites – YouTube porn clones, the most significant traffic holders these days, especially illegal ones providing stolen full-time members area videos for free. There has been no efficient way to stop them over the last few years. Legal tubes provide 3-5 min video previews and sell corresponding sites. They are also big traffic sites, because surfers like streaming videos. Clips for legal tubes provided by sponsors can be found here: http://www.signbucks.com/tube-clips/list
Major illegal tube network PornHub.com is run by the Manwin Corporation, which also runs their own affiliate programs: JuggCashMofosCashTwisty’s Cash and others. The bad thing about illegal tubes is that they get high search engines rankings for more and more porn keywords. As industry veterans say: ‘It’s hard to sell what is available for free’, but on the other hand porn tubes can’t provide quality niched material like niched paysites can. Therefore, with the right approach affiliates can still compete with them.
Anyway legal tubes are still doing fine. And if you decide to start one - get in touch with me, so you can buy 200,000 flvs database for your legal tube for only $100. All clips go with correspondent paysite, you just mass-replace it with your id.
Those are the most popular tube site scripts: TubeAceKSV (Kernel Video Sharing)MechBunny Tube, WordPress + Tube Theme (free), Nubiles Tube (free), TubeX,  SmartTube ProTEVS.
That’s an example of a legal tube: Overthumbs.com, bondagetube.tv, gaytube.com.
SE traffic sites – sites created in order to get adult search engines traffic. SE traffic is very quality, because visitors are in search mode and are ready to pay for the stuff they are looking for. Surfers are searching not only for various porn genres, but also for models and pornstars. If you know how search engines work and can get high rankings into SERPs - this direction is definitely for you.
TGP, MGP, CJ – old school traffic generators. Were the biggest traffic sites before tubes overtook them. They still have significant amount of traffic, but it’s decreasing every year.
TGP means Thumbnail gallery post. Webmaster used to post their custom photo galleries there and were getting traffic and links. Nowadays TGP use sponsors FHG and only a few still accept webmaster submissions. MGP is the movie version of TGP, which accepts movie and flash galleries (they are also called video or flash TGP). CJ could be both photo or video TGP with major purpose in trading traffic with other CJs. It’s the whole science to operate a CJ and to make it grow. At the same time CJ (Circle Jerk) is very inconvenient for a surfer, which gets sent blindly to other sites. CJ traffic is hard to convert, so the owners prefer to sell it to traffic brokers and illegal tubes. Those are TGP and CJ examples: www.brutebdsm.comwww.bdsmvideotube.com, crocmovies.com, crocobabes.com
Porn hubs – all-in-one porn portals. Can contain tube, TGP, bbs board, review section, VOD white label, blog, webcams and everything else what’s possible to add. Classic porn hubs: Feeones.com, Yobt.com, Pichunter.com. Some affiliate programs also have their own portals to promote them like Porn.com
Link Lists (LL) – were popular a few years ago, but now they have almost no traffic. Webmasters used to submit their free sites in there, and link lists owners added them to their listings. Each freesite was submitted to a number of link lists. Remaining link lists are: penisbot.com, onlybestsex.com and others. Link lists owners use to post at GreenGuy’s forum.
Top lists – Like link lists were popular a few years ago, now only old school webmasters are running them. It’s a link trading site like http://gallery.hqtoplist.com/ and http://www.adultcybersites.com/free-porn-sites.html
Traffic brokers – traffic sell and buy systems. Brokers are good to buy traffic if you’d like to test your brand new site performance and don’t have your own traffic.  Just don’t expect high sales from that traffic. Mostly TGP, CJ and tube sites sell their traffic to brokers. The most established adult traffic brokers are Traffic HolderTrafficShopEroAdvertisingJuicyAds (quality banner traffic). The price starts with $2 for 1,000 uniques. You can also buy some porn search keywords through Google Adwords.
Review sites – work just like everywhere else. They describe important aspects of a product, to be more exact – members area of each site and whether it worth joining or not.  TheBestPorn.com and RabbitsReviews.com are trusted names known for years. Also there’re many brand new sites like Approved Porn. Micro niched review sites are successful and don’t require much investments.
Those are major standard affiliate site types. But you can run any custom format of a site, it’s ok as long as it generates traffic and makes you money. There are many other sites that have adult traffic like model directories (www.definebabe.com), communities, forums, image and file hostings, etc. Many successful webmasters run networks of sites of the same or different kind. Keep in mind that with development of mobile devices, mobile traffic has significantly increased and it shows better convention. There are many mobile paysites to be promoted. Be creative and you’ll be rewarded!

Does anyone have any thoughts on my micro-niche of absolutely unedited, raw footage of adult agency castings? they are actual castings, so lots of talking, pausing for direction, face pulling, dumb questions etc. Is this something people would like? Or should I rather just make it into a regular casting niche site?

Hey Lydia. What pictures are you talking about? And why are you posting it here?

A niche' is MATURE The sub-niche' covers Mom vs. Boy 2 Moms vs. Boy, 3 and so on... Party of moms, one boy. Then...just Milf vs. stud Granny vs. boy (or stud) Mature lesbian vs teen Mature lesbian group Old man vs teen 2 Teens vs older man etc..etc. then vintage stuff..

wrong. Yes, Mature is a niche. So is Feet, Ebony, Latina, Creampie, Teen, BBW, ATM, Shemale and the list goes on... It's when you start getting specific the niche turns into sub and micro niches...the more specific, the smaller the niche. I.E. General niche: Mature sub-niche: Mature lesbian micro-niche: Mature lesbian vs teen

Actually dirty feet, strapon lesbian sex, socks porn, black shemales, famous toons, etc. are all SUB-niches. Toe-ringed dirty feet, black shemales with big tits, toe-socks porn, strapon ebony lesbian sex are micro-niches. The extra niche makes it a micro-niche.
