Program scripts: CCBill, NATS and others. Linking codes and statistics

Adult affiliate programs pay webmasters for sales their traffic makes. All the data are processed through the program’s script also called back-end. It’s very interesting thing and you should know as much as possible about it. It’s exactly over here your salary is being calculated.
The program’s script provides URLs called affiliate links which can be tracked by it to credit affiliate every time a purchase is made. It also provides traffic statistics, tracks issued payments, manages promo tools, etc. It’s the system you ‘sell’ your traffic through, but you have only as much of an access as script owner has provided to you.
There’re 2 major types of affiliate scripts: integrated affiliate platforms (IAP) like CCBillEpochStatsVerotelAffiliate-Cash.deZombaio and autonomous affiliate scripts (AAS) like NATSMPA3, AWM Scripts and many others (Integrated Affiliate Platform and Autonomous Affiliate Script is my own terminology).
Integrated affiliate platforms are good because they are much more solid than a program running autonomous script. All major IAP’s are based on a core billing, so they couldn’t really be compared to autonomous script programs, each of which acts on its own. On the other hand, autonomous scripts provide some more options and are more customizable. However, basic options like linking and sale statistics have almost no space for customization. In my opinion program can run an autonomous script only if a program owner knows all aspects of affiliate business and can process big number of business operations. Otherwise, it’s a classic example already once brand new program starts up with more expensive script and in a few months it gets out of business. What I’m saying is that for extra customizability programs pay more money for script, should get dedicated server and do some extra work to set up the program, billing, issue affiliate payments and keep everything running. But it’s two different approaches to run small business one pay site program and huge traffic porn corporation.
IAP program owner pays no install and monthly fee, but billing fees out of sales his program generates. All affiliate payouts are processed by IAP accounting with no cost for program owner. Webmasters always get paid in time even if any particular IAP powered site gets out of business. By focusing on IAP programs you can promote both brand new and established programs with no risk of being unpaid. With AAS you’d better stay with established ones with good reputation.
The major tracking method for all program types is tracking by cookie, which sets visitor’s browser a cookie once he clicks through the linking code. Cookies can track visitors for specified time according to program options. Tracked time may vary from no time (cookie ends after session is closed) to a year. All IAPs have 1 day cookie limit, so program owner can’t set it lower than a day. AASs allow owner to set it with no limit. That’s cookie tracking in work: once a visitor used your code, bookmarked a pay site, then returned to it in a month and joined it - you still will be credited if the program tracks cookies for a month. Therefore, the longer cookie time is the better for affiliate. We display cookies each pay site has into its profile at Signbucks Daily. Also different programs might have IP tracking, session tracking and other options.
With AAS program you should reach so called ‘payout minimum’ which is almost everywhere $100 in revenue to get paid. Sometimes it’s not that fast with one or two sites affiliate program. With IAP all your money with every program you promote are accumulated into one account and paid in one check. You don’t have to track each program whether the minimum is reached or not, whether the payment has been issued or not. You also don’t have to pay payment processing fee, like almost each AS program requires.
Business operation expenses are higher, more knowledge and experience is required to run AAS program. IAP is more affordable for brand new program to start with. Then with some experience and results achieved it can migrate to AAS if it really has such demands. It is not very convenient for affiliates to deal with brand new AAS programs having one or two sites – your earnings couldn’t be enough to reach payout minimum while program closes its doors. In that case, your traffic will be just wasted.
Those are major affiliate program modules and options similar for both IAP and AAS program: linking codes, statistics, and payment history
Linking codes – are special URL codes affiliate scripts can properly track. Every promo tool you use should contain them. Each IAP and AAS has its own codes and you should know their specifics.
IAP linking codes for each program you promote are provided into IAP admin. You see only codes for programs you’ve joined. The program can also have its own admin for linking codes and promo tools with better interface, to restrict surfers from accessing free content and other reasons. It’s just a shell and all the tracking is based at IAP server. AAS programs have a copy of a script installed on their server. Each script produces its own link codes, which are understandable for current installation only. Script used by programs can be customized, so the same script can look different on different programs. Also script versions may vary.
IAP linking codes have standard link on IAP domain with changeable program or site id parameters and affiliate code. By clicking that code the visitor is sent to specific paysite and his browser gets a cookie which assigns him to a specific affiliate. Some platforms also allow IP and session tracking, but the program owner should enable it.
Statistics (stats) –provides traffic and sales reports for affiliate. It shows how many times your link codes and promo tools have been clicked, which paysites were joined, subscription type, rate and length, sale referring URLs, rebill information and other.
You should already know such stats data as raws (all clicks through your affiliate links) and uniques (clicks from different persons), join form hits (how many times join form has been hit) and submissions (transaction requests). If a person clicks your link 4 times with the same IP within 24h then it’s 3 raws and 1 unique. Sales (joins) are usually displayed in real-time with possible 15 min delay. Some AAS programs get billing data once or a few times per day, so you’ll see your sales only after billing synchronization. It's wise to use desktop software NiftyStats to get your instant stats for all programs you promote.
You might also have heard such word as 'shave' used for some affiliate programs, suspected in incorrect or manipulative tracking of traffic and sales or any other thing which doesn’t properly credit webmaster for his traffic. Each script has its own weak places and webmasters should know about them. The best method to check whether the program is counting sales correct is to make a test join with your own card. Though this method doesn’t work that great for sophisticated shave tactics like shaving on rebills, cookies, etc.
Another thing is scrubbing, which is made on billing part and works in a bad way for both affiliate and program owner. This term is used when processing company (billing) risk options are set too high, what makes harder to join pay site. E.g. if US credit card owner has traveled to Thailand where he’s trying to join pay site he can be declined by the billing in high scrub mode, because his IP doesn’t correspond with his address according to bank info. If you see increased submissions/joins ration that’s definitely it.
Below I’ll bring short explanation of every major affiliate script from my point of view and how do they work.

Does anyone have any thoughts on my micro-niche of absolutely unedited, raw footage of adult agency castings? they are actual castings, so lots of talking, pausing for direction, face pulling, dumb questions etc. Is this something people would like? Or should I rather just make it into a regular casting niche site?

Hey Lydia. What pictures are you talking about? And why are you posting it here?

A niche' is MATURE The sub-niche' covers Mom vs. Boy 2 Moms vs. Boy, 3 and so on... Party of moms, one boy. Then...just Milf vs. stud Granny vs. boy (or stud) Mature lesbian vs teen Mature lesbian group Old man vs teen 2 Teens vs older man etc..etc. then vintage stuff..

wrong. Yes, Mature is a niche. So is Feet, Ebony, Latina, Creampie, Teen, BBW, ATM, Shemale and the list goes on... It's when you start getting specific the niche turns into sub and micro niches...the more specific, the smaller the niche. I.E. General niche: Mature sub-niche: Mature lesbian micro-niche: Mature lesbian vs teen

Actually dirty feet, strapon lesbian sex, socks porn, black shemales, famous toons, etc. are all SUB-niches. Toe-ringed dirty feet, black shemales with big tits, toe-socks porn, strapon ebony lesbian sex are micro-niches. The extra niche makes it a micro-niche.
